West Coast IPAs

Support your neighbors. We feature at least a dozen taps from Sac-born and Sac-based breweries every week — because local beer deserves local love.

Our Story

Not Just Another
Beer Bar

Capitol Beer Tap Room started with a simple idea: what if a beer place felt like a place? Not a sports bar with a craft beer section tacked on, and not a stuffy tasting room where you need a degree to order. Just a warm, welcoming space where the beer is taken seriously but nobody takes themselves seriously.

We're right here on I Street in the heart of Sacramento, and we've built this place the way we'd want our own neighborhood spot to be — great beer that changes with the seasons, food that actually matches what's on tap, and an atmosphere where you can come alone for a quiet pint or bring a room full of people and still feel at home.
